I began my teaching career in 2000 when I graduated from the University of Montevallo and moved to the big city in Georgia, where I taught Life Science for 5 years. I missed my family and friends so I came back to Alabama and have been in the Elmore County School system since 2006.  In 2021, I began the next phase of my educational career by transitioning from the classroom to the Library. I am so excited to be in this amazing new role!

I am originally from Louisiana, but I have moved around a good bit as a child/teenager. Actually, I have now lived in Alabama for more years than anywhere else, so I guess I might be a real Alabamian now!!!
